The Story Behind

Nurse gone Natural

It all started for me when I had my first child. Despite being exclusively breastfed, she had eczema. Being fresh out of nursing school and knowing what the side-effects were of the steroid creams they were recommending to me, I started doing my research. I found out that Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo has formaldehyde in it along with many other products with unsafe ingredients. Despite switching over to natural care products, she still struggled with eczema.
At just shy of 11 months old, my little girl had a severe allergic reaction to chickpeas (of all things!). It was at this point that I started researching what could cause allergies and started reading on nutrition. At the same time, her pediatrician (who was a nurse practitioner) mentioned using probiotics to help with her eczema. I was so fascinated about all that I was reading, we changed our diet. After just a few months of diet change, her skin cleared nicely.  I became passionate about using food to heal.
We welcomed our baby boy about a year later and at that time, I knew that I wanted to pursue more education in nutrition. After much research, I decided to go through the Nutritional Therapy Association for certification. The program was very good and I have been able to help so many women with health issues using just nutrition. Maybe you’re here because you are looking for answers to your health issues. Maybe your child was just diagnosed with food allergies. Wherever you are, I want you to know I am here for you you can do this!
